Hair Care Series, Day 1: Three Things on the Counter for Curly Hair

No verdicts yet — that is the point. This is the starting line of our curly-hair series: three products, one honest experiment, and everything we will be watching.

Welcome to something new. Usually we show up with a finished verdict — weeks of testing, distilled into a tidy conclusion. This time we are starting in the open. Day 1. Three products on the counter. You will see everything: what we try, how it goes, and what we would buy again.

Product one: the Act+Acre Stem Cell Scalp Serum. This one came to us as a recommendation — from a friend with long, gorgeous curly hair, in her early to mid twenties. She recommended it for deep healing of the roots and stimulating hair growth. Those are her words and her experience, and we are quoting her, not claiming it. Starting today, we find out what it does for us.

Product two: the Act+Acre Stem Cell Thickening Foam. The companion in the lineup — same brand, same philosophy, and the one we will be reaching for on wash days. Two weeks of lather, rinse, and honest notes ahead.

Product three: a bottle of evian natural spring water. Yes — water. It is the wildcard in this lineup, and we are not going to dress it up as anything else on day one. It is on the counter, it is part of the routine, and you will see exactly what role it plays as the series unfolds.

Here is what we will be watching: how the scalp feels week to week, shedding, curl definition, any dryness or irritation. We will describe what we feel — that is the house rule. We never diagnose, and we never promise cures.

And here is the honesty part: day one means zero results. No before-and-afters, no miracles, no verdicts. Just the starting line, documented. The follow-ups will come as the weeks do — the good, the boring, and the “we stopped using this.”

Come along for it. If you have tried any of these — especially the serum, especially on curls — tell us how it went for you. We read everything: hello@medicpal.org.
